Rome by Bike Along the Tiber: The Most Beautiful Cycle Path, Seen from My Saddle
Rome is a city that, when you live it every day, can really put you to the test. It challenges you, stresses you out, wears you down. Sometimes it pushes you so far that you forget just how incredibly beautiful […]
A Roman Gelato Walk: From Circus Maximus to Prati
Did you know that as early as the 1st century AD, Emperor Nero had snow transported from the Apennines to mix with honey and fruit? It’s an ancient custom we can see as a distant ancestor of today’s beloved gelato. […]
How to Face the Heat if You’ve Chosen Rome for Your Summer Holidays
Let me say this upfront: I’ve always loved summer. As a child and later as a teenager, the arrival of June was pure happiness: no school, endless days spent outdoors, that intoxicating sense of freedom. And the heat? It never […]
About us...

I’ll skip the fluff and go straight to the points — what I liked and what I didn’t. + Fantastic location. Just 8–10 minutes on foot to the Colosseum, 3 minutes to the metro. The location is simply superb, especially considering the price for such a central spot. + Very friendly staff. They did their best to help us and gave great recommendations on where to go. + Excellent breakfast. There was plenty of sweet pastries, as well as cornetti with cheese and ham. They also served tea, coffee, water, fruits, and orange juice. + The rooms are simple, but very clean and cozy. Having air conditioning is a huge plus. The bathroom was spacious and also clean. Cleaning was done daily, and towels and toiletries were replaced regularly. The following aren’t exactly downsides, but rather things to keep in mind: # After booking, make sure to contact the hotel via their official email or WhatsApp to let them know your arrival time in advance, to avoid any issues. # The “hotel” is essentially a large apartment with a shared kitchen, where each room is a private unit with its own bathroom. Because of this, it can be a bit confusing upon arrival. The apartment is located in a residential building — just go to the address. You’ll see a metal gate (door) leading to the courtyard, and near it there’s an intercom with the hotel name — ring the bell, and they’ll explain everything from there. # In the morning it was a bit noisy, since breakfast starts at 7 AM and sounds from the corridor and kitchen can be heard quite clearly from the rooms. Overall, we had a very positive experience. Highly recommended — especially if you’re traveling on a budget! Very well situated apartment with large terrace - and as a bonus - above an ice crem shop. Furniture isn't the most modern, but it was clean and comfortable. Two things really make this place a stand out - the terrace for relaxing after a days walking and the location. The street has plenty of places to eat - from higher end to rustic. ALL were good, just at different price points. Host was great, friendly and happy to help. AC is pretty good as well! A good choice if you want to walk into the Roman areas.
