Rome is a city that, when you live it every day, can really put you to the test. It challenges you, stresses you out, wears you down. Sometimes it pushes you so far that you forget just how incredibly beautiful it is!
\nAnd yet, Rome is like an elegant lady of a certain age: a bit stern, full of stories to tell, never boring. So, out of love (and maybe a little stubbornness), I decided to give her another chance.<\/p>\n

From the Circus Maximus to the City: Everything Changes by Bike<\/strong><\/p>\n

From our B&B, a strategic starting point to explore Rome, you can take advantage of our proximity to the Tiber and set off on an urban adventure \u2014 by bike… or on foot!<\/strong>
\nThat\u2019s exactly how I started. To get to work in the Vatican area from the southern part of Rome, I used to rely on the metro and buses. Between delays and crowds, getting there on time was nearly impossible.
\nThen I bought a foldable electric bike… and everything changed.<\/p>\n

No more racing against the clock.
\nNo more packed trains.
\nJust me, the road, and Rome.<\/p>\n

The Cycle Path Along the Tiber: My Favorite Route<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Testaccio, I head down to the cycle path via a convenient ramp (not all access points are bike-friendly \u2014 some are just stairs). But this one is perfect.
\nOnce you\u2019re down along the Tiber, the city completely transforms.
\nAs you ride alongside the river, you pass ancient bridges, domes, Roman pines, churches, and bell towers, accompanied only by gulls and silence.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s as if Rome reveals herself from a different perspective \u2014 more intimate, almost secret.<\/strong>
\nYou feel wrapped in a cloud: the city noise fades away, everything becomes hushed, and for a moment, it feels like life itself slows down.
\nYou pedal \u2014 or walk \u2014 in a suspended time, where Rome speaks to you in a whisper.<\/p>\n

My tip? Do it early in the morning.<\/strong>
\nWhen the colors of dawn touch the surface of the Tiber and bathe the buildings in golden light, the feeling is indescribable.
\nIt\u2019s a moment just for you \u2014 a gift that Rome offers, if you know how to listen.<\/p>\n

Not Just for Bikes: It\u2019s Beautiful on Foot Too!<\/strong><\/p>\n

If cycling isn\u2019t your thing, don\u2019t worry \u2014\u00a0the Tiber is perfect for a walk too.<\/strong>
\nQuiet, shaded, and even cool in summer, it gives you a relaxing break from the city\u2019s noise and traffic.<\/p>\n

You can stop to take photos, sit on a bench by the river, or simply let yourself be inspired by the beauty around you.<\/p>\n

And in the summer months\u2026 the magic multiplies:
\nColorful stalls
\nLive music and concerts
\nStreet food and little floating restaurants under the stars
\ntransform the river into a true Roman festival.<\/p>\n
